Looks like we're set to party on 16 August. Come join us in Oakland @ the USS Potomac. (www.USSPOTOMAC.ORG). Be sure and make your own reservations online for the 16th 2 hour tour. Let me know if you have any trouble, and also if you plan to attend, so we can get a head count.

National Convention is in Palm Desert in Oct -Nov.  West Coast conventions are convenient. and should be attended by as many Council members as can make it.

Council members are encouraged to provide school supplies to Carol Ann Hackley for the Puerta Vallarta Council which will be delivered to the Council reps at the National Convention.

Pacific Merchant Marine Council

Kerry C. O’Brien, President

The Pacific Merchant Marine Council is the Navy League’s newest council. Possibly you read about it in the February Sea Power.  The council’s focus is the US flag Merchant Marine and the nation’s shore establishment supporting maritime trade.

As a show of support we invite you to join this council along with your present council.  Several individuals in our growing member ship have dual council memberships.

Captain Kerry C. O’Brien is the President; his telephone number is (707) 332-7659 and E-Mail address is captob@comcast.net .
Phelps Hobart, is vice President – Membership; his telephone number is (916) 739-6949 and E-Mail address is nlsac@cwo.net .
